Organized by the Department of English and Modern Languages at North South University on December 6–7, 2024, the conference brought together scholars, researchers, teachers, writers, and students to engage in discourse about changing frameworks in English Language education in an increasingly technological landscape. Held in association with the Bangladesh English Language Teachers Association (BELTA), the conference provided a platform for critical discourse regarding how our ways to approach language teaching and learning, research, and policy are changing dynamically.
The conference was centered around the theme "Re/Envisioning Paradigms in English Language Education." It addressed a wide range of contemporary topics such as AI and technology-enhanced language education, translanguaging, curriculum and material design, applied linguistics, diversity and inclusivity, translation studies, and educational leadership. The conference included keynote speeches, plenary sessions, paper presentations, workshops, colloquia, and poster presentations, fostering meaningful interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among academics from Bangladesh and abroad.
