Organized by the Department of English and Modern Languages at North South University on November 4–5, 2022, the conference examined contemporary developments, challenges, and transformations in English studies within local and global contexts. Through keynote lectures, plenary sessions, workshops, special sessions, panel presentations, poster displays, and literary events, the conference created a diverse platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and academic exchange.

Writing Development, Writing Centers, Learning Theory, Composition and Applied Linguistics, Teaching Writing
Dr. Dana Lynn Driscoll is Professor of English and Director of the Kathleen Jones White Writing Center at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. She teaches writing for publication, research methods, teaching writing, and learning development in the Graduate Programs in TESOL, Composition, and Applied Linguistics at IUP. Through the Writing Center, she also provides extensive writing support to students across disciplines.
Dr. Driscoll has delivered numerous keynote lectures and workshops internationally and has published more than forty articles on learning theory, writing development, writing centers, and writing expertise. She currently serves as co-editor of the open-source textbook series Writing Spaces, which reaches millions of students each year. While completing her PhD at Purdue University, she also coordinated the internationally renowned Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL), one of the oldest and largest writing-related online resources in the world.
