Organized by the Department of English and Modern Languages at North South University on March 3–4, 2016, the conference brought together scholars, researchers, teachers, writers, and students from Bangladesh and abroad to explore the intersections of language, literature, culture, translation, identity, and English language teaching in an increasingly globalized world. Featuring keynote addresses, panel discussions, parallel academic sessions, and cultural performances, the conference created a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue across diverse fields of the humanities and language studies.

Postcolonial Literature, Digital Humanities, Technology and the Humanities, Comparative Literature, Global and Postcolonial Studies
Adeline Koh is Associate Professor of Postcolonial Literature and Director of Digital Humanities at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey, USA. A native of Singapore, she previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National University of Singapore and as a Visiting Faculty Fellow at Duke University. She earned her PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Michigan.
Her scholarly work explores the intersections of technology, the humanities, and the postcolonial world. Koh is also a prominent public speaker in the academic community and has delivered invited talks at institutions and organizations including Université Paris-Sorbonne, Stanford University, the University of Virginia, Rutgers University, Princeton University, the Modern Language Association Convention, and the Postcolonial Studies Group.

Chaz Pugliese is a presenter, author, and trainer based in Paris, France. He has been a keynote speaker at more than thirty international conferences and has trained teachers around the world. In addition to contributing chapters to several edited volumes, he is the author of Being Creative and co-author of The Principled Communicative Approach, written with Zoltan Dörnyei and Jane Arnold.
In 2013, he co-founded The Creativity Group, an initiative dedicated to advancing creative practice in English Language Teaching. His principal research interests include innovative teaching, creativity, motivation, and the use of the arts, including visual arts, literature, and music, in the language classroom.
